Meet our Grand Marshal:
Edward “Lanny” Skehan
Born in Limerick City, Ireland, Edward “Lanny” Skehan came to New York in 1982 with his best friend, David Crowe. Lanny has been a familiar face behind the bar since 1987, when he began bartending at the original Lily Flanagan’s in Islip.
Nearly four decades later, he continues to serve the community at Harp & Hound, where he has become a beloved part of the local Irish scene!
A true community man, devoted father, soon-to-be grandfather, loving husband, and proud Irishman, Lanny has spent decades building connections and becoming a cherished part of the Islip community.
Join us as Lanny leads us down Main Street on September 20 at 2:00 PM to celebrate Islip’s 2nd Annual Irish Day Parade!
